An exceptional sipping whiskey.
Knob Creek, as always, is often overlooked in favor of brands with more hype/"better" marketing. In my opinion, however, their products never cease to be incredible. Knob Creek rye is a fantastic experience, featuring soft notes of grapes/red fruits, salted caramel, and a touch of nuttiness. For an inexpensive sipping whisky, this is one to stock.

Rye, Twice Barreled
Dear Knob Creek Distillery, I've had different varieties of Knob Creek Whiskey over the years and several months ago I picked up a bottle of your Twice Barreled Rye, 100 proof. I do like a good whiskey and thought this would be something I might enjoy and I was not let down. It has proven to be the smoothest tasting whiskey I've ever had and I've drank a lot of top-notch brands over the years, some expensive and some not. This was a medium-priced bottle, about $60. Not too bad, something I can live with that. But the product I received has dwarfed all other whiskeys I've had past years. A truly exceptional bottle. It has great flavor and is just so, so smooth, I've never had anything like it. The only problem I now have is I have a new standard by which I find myself judging other whiskeys. In a way it's actually kind of sad. But I'll find a way to get over it. Currently I'm unable to find the Twice Barreled Rye in the stores I've checked but hopefully someday I'll come across it again.
